The Speaklee team is composed of seasoned academic data science professionals and business developers.
We are a multidisciplinary, tech-savvy team dedicated to making a greater positive social impact.
Our mission is to give everyone with a speech and language disorder a chance for equal opportunities and inclusion in society. We want to create a "speech fountain" by ensuring that for every app we sell, one will be donated for free through an NGO partnership. Through this initiative, we aim to make literacy accessible to children worldwide, fostering a brighter future for generations to come.
Achievements
2023
Speaklee (formerly known as Readler) was established by researchers who wanted to develop an AI engine which would have a social impact. Pascal joined them later, strengthening the team with business and go-to-market experience.
2024
Speaklee won the 2024 Summer Pitch Event organised by the Demonstrator Lab at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where over 45 talented startups competed to win the hearts and minds of the jury. After the pitch, Speaklee took several strategic decisions and applied for scientific & social funding to develop its prototype.
